Ways to Get Involved
1. Start With Volunteering (Easiest Entry Point) PositiveBloodFlow thrives on reliable volunteers. Whether helping at events, distributing food, sorting clothing, serving meals, making outreach calls, or supporting us on social media, every role strengthens our mission. No experience is needed — just a willingness to lend a hand and learn.
2. Attend Our Events & Community Gatherings From fundraisers and awareness walks to workshops and support groups, showing up connects you directly with our team, volunteers, and community members. Your presence builds relationships and opens doors to deeper involvement.
3. Share Your Skills Your expertise in leadership, operations, communication, or problem-solving can transform our impact. Help us improve processes, train volunteers, design outreach materials, or strengthen fundraising efforts. Your skills make you an immediate asset.
4. Join a Committee Committees are the heartbeat of PositiveBloodFlow. Whether it’s fundraising, outreach, events, or volunteer coordination, joining a committee allows you to contribute meaningfully with manageable commitment — and it’s often the pathway to board service.
5. Become a Monthly Donor Even $5 a month shows commitment and helps sustain our programs. Monthly donors often gain access to special updates, private events, and deeper opportunities to shape our mission.
6. Shadow or Assist a Program If you’re passionate about homelessness, domestic violence recovery, or senior support, ask to join one of our outreach days or sit in on a program. Hands-on involvement builds understanding and amplifies impact.
7. Ask This One Question The simplest way to plug in: “What is one thing PositiveBloodFlow needs help with right now?” You’ll get immediate tasks because there’s always a need.
8. Use Volunteer Platforms Find us through VolunteerMatch, United Way, HandsOn Network, or local community boards. PositiveBloodFlow partners with these platforms to make volunteering accessible.
9. Start by Helping One Person Mission work begins with small acts. Buy a meal, donate hygiene kits, deliver care packages, or help someone apply for services. Every act of compassion flows into our larger mission.
10. Partner With PositiveBloodFlow Through Your Own Project If you have a vision — like outreach, awareness campaigns, or community healing — we welcome partnerships. Bring your ideas, volunteers, or resources, and together we’ll build something meaningful.

“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, and to make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”
